Brooke and Baylee's adoption story and pictures from 2001 to the present.

Dima and Ella's adoption story and pictures from 2004 to the present.

We hope you enjoy learning about our first Ukrainian adoption of Brooke and Baylee in Nov/Dec 2001, our second adoption of Dima and Ella in May/Jun 2004 and our most recent adoption of Viktor, Zhenya, and Alex in Dec 2007/Jan 2008.  We consider our family to be one of God's design.  After having an only biological child, Ginger, for 15 yrs, it was never in our plan to adopt 7 more children, much less to travel all the way around the world to Ukraine to find them!   However, in this process we have discovered more blessings and joy than we ever dreamed possible.
It has been quite a change for us to suddenly become parents of 8 children.  We're have to give credit to God for His grace and strength over the past 9 years.  There have been many challenges adding older children to our family, but God has faithfully been with us every step of the way.
Here's what our children are currently doing:  Ginger, (24), waa a 2007 UAB graduate in Communications and Theatre is now working and living downtown.  She teaches several age groups in tv production and theatre in local city schools and works at the Boy's and Girls Club.  Dima, a graduate of Pelham High School in 2007, works at Frankies Market Cafe as a cook, server, and whatever else needs to be done and will soon be moving into his own place. Viktor (21) is a Sophomore at Jefferson State Community College and is studying Art.
Ella (19), is a Freshman at the University of North Alabama studying Criminal Justice and Foreign Language.  Alex (just turning 19) is a Freshman at the University of Mobile (on a Soccer scholarship).  Brooke (17), is a Junior at Pelham High School where she is a Football Trainer and member of First Priority and the Key Club.  Baylee (13) is an 8th grader at Riverchase Middle School who loves to be with friends, enjoys music (singing and piano). After being with us about seven months and turning 18, Zhenya decided to return to Ukraine to pursue his education and life in his native environment and language.  He was completed a construction trade school and is now attending a cooking school.
We hope you enjoy reading our web site and viewing the photos!  May God touch your heart, not only for the children of Ukraine, but for all children over the world who are praying for families and waiting to be loved
